World of Warcraft Cataclysm

After the defeat of the Lich King in WoW WOTLK, peace didn’t come to the world of Azeroth. The Scourge is over but there always new and greater threat to the world. Rise of the Deathwing, a big dragon appeared in Warcraft II return with much greater power than before. His return cause a sweeping cataclysm to most of  Azeroth’s surface. The whole world change, even capital cities like Stormwind and Ogrimar. New creatures appear and the Naga once again rise from the deep sea.

In WOTLK, bosses in ICC [Icecrown Citadel] cause lots of problems such as Lord Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper  and The Lich King… Now Azeroth’s Champions (players) will have to think about the strategy for new and much harder boss, Deathwing the Destroyer.

With the world in chaos, many islanders scattered from the home to the sea. Lots of these scattered islanders find themselves shipwreck  upon the lost isle, lock in battles with the human. But finally, they find themselves new allies in the Horde. But not only the Horde has new allies, the Ancient Alliance ( Nightelves ) bring the race of Worgen to join the Alliance

With the Cataclysm release, there are major changes:
_ Cap level raise to 85
_ Horde new race Globin, Alliance new race Worgen
_ Ability to fly everywhere in Azeroth
_ Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdom changed
_ New class/race combination (i.e Bloodelf Warrior)
_ Seven new: Blackrock Caverns, Throne of the Tides, the Stonecore, the Vortex Pinnacle, the Lost City of the Tol'vir, the Halls of Origination, and Grim Batol, all available in regular and heroic modes at level 85
_ Three new raids : The Bastion of Twilight, Blackwing Descent and Throne of the Four Winds, plus the Tol Barad Prison raid dungeon after PvP zone completion
_ New Battleground and world PVP zone
_ A new secondary skill: Archaeology
_ A new type of glyph: Prime
_ A rated battleground system, along with associated new rewards
_ Changes to class mechanics, including abolishing the use of ammunition and stand-alone warlock soul shards, consolidation of totems and buffs, and racial bonuses
_ Major changes to the cities of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, with minor adjustments to others
_ At level 10 a player must choose a talent specialization (spec) and only spend points in that "tree" until they have reached 31 points. Once 31 points have been spent, he or she is able to use the rest of his or her attained points in any of the 3 trees. When the player chooses a specialization at 10, they will gain one major active skill that sets that spec apart from the others, and 2-3 passive skills that support that particular tree.

  1. The sounds better! I haven't played since the Burning Crusade, but these new additions look like they would make it a lot more fun, especially the flying mounts! Good post!
